Let's see who was behind this creative endeavour:

Andrew Coker: Photographer and avid games player, Andrew enjoys Texas Hold'em poker, Apples to Apples, and A Thousand Blank White Cards. One of Andrew's more bizarre ideas was to make a deck consisting only of cards which have 'Of' in the name. He's the Wizard of Of. When a game is going badly, he likes to say "that's pants", but when it's going really badly, "that's pantaloons". If Andrew was an artifact, he'd be Urza's Magical Thingy.
Andrew Shellshear: Known variously for writing novels, blogging, deconstructing movies, playing in a band, and almost filming a stop-motion masterpiece, Andrew graduated with a degree in Cunning from Cunning University. Andrew introduced us to an evil game called Cow-trader which, like Andrew, appears innocent enough on the outside, but is tricky and wacky inside. He also plays Tamsk like a Time Lord.
Ben Carr: Hailing from Melbourne, Ben is a shrewd player of games ranging from Formula De to Roborally. He delights in challenging fast-paced gaming, although sometimes his ploys backfire. A particular game, Modern Art, got him particularly riled up one day and he vented his frustration in a creative splurge leading to several bizarrely named cards. Fortunately, their abilities were bizarre too. Ben has been known to dream Magic cards.
David Karlov: Having been retired for some time from the Magic scene, David was happily ensconced in a bridge-playing group until being mercilessly sucked back into the Magic vortex. Since then he had shown himself to be a thoughtful Magic player who seems to prefer playing red and often notices odd combinations of cards. He has a penchant for strange fantasy novel quotes and an eye for beautiful paintings, as revealed in this tournament.
David McLeish: Adept at Go and expert in Settlers of Catan, fine wines, and subtle jokes, David is curious, and sometimes this is his downfall. He will often try a new strategy just to see what would happen, even if it seems unlikely to work. In that, he is fearless, and masterful; if sometimes unsuccessful he is never predictable. David's Oracle text would list him as having Affinity for Bad Puns.
David Morgan-Mar: Purveyor of web-comics, creator of esoteric programming languages master of Zendo, if David was a creature he'd be a Zeppelin Brigade Goblin Dinosaur-Rider of Chaotic Doom. Nothing is more tempting to him than a card which is so powerful that it's likely to blow up in his own face. He'll try any move once, particularly if there's a high possibility of something funny happening as a result.
Gary Makin: Gary likes to keep up to date with what is happening in the Magic scene, and has been known to play on-line, and in two-player drafts. He's been writing a deck construction program, but got sidetracked by his latest toy, a pet Dalek. If Gary was an enchantment, his text would say "Whenever an Unhinged land comes into play, gain 1 life."
Loki: Loki likes to live on the edge. As a Magic player, his favourite deck would be some weird blue comborific nightmare that has no creatures, and which ends up losing badly for fifteen turns before finally winning in a dazzling assault of contrarily juxtaposed effects. His hobbies include writing stories, watching cult TV and sleeping.
Steven Irrgang: A relatively recent addition to our Magical group, Steven is a deep thinker who has shown himself to be no novice at the drafting stakes. He plays fast and surely, and his drafting picks are impeccable. Either that or he's been infected by a luck virus. His greatest regret is never owning a Shivan Dragon, leading to his penchant for big flying creatures.
Masked Magician: We don't really know who the Masked Magician is. We had several theories, but none have been borne out. Perhaps time will tell. But for now, the Masked Magician remains a reclusive, enigmatic figure, whose inventions have proved to be unusual, ground-breaking, and powerful. One day we'll discover your true identity, Masked Magician, one day!
